R.E.E.F. Fish Identification Course
Join REEF, along with PADI's Project AWARE, and add an exciting new dimension to your next dive. We all know that the world's reefs are endangered and how many marine life populations are declining. Defining the extent of the problem and evaluating management solutions require a continual flow of accurate data tracking marine life populations. Unfortunately, the scientific communities lack the personnel, time, and funding to gather this large amount of critical data. Now, with the help of the Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) and PADI's Project AWARE, recreational divers can assist in this valuable data collection by participating in a Fish Survey Program.
It's as easy as 1, 2, and 3! First, start by enrolling in a REEF Fish ID course. This short training class, followed by 2 open water dives, will teach you the names of local marine life you are likely to see in your area and how to identify them. Second, while on you next dive, take along a dive slate and record the names and abundance of the local marine life you see during your dive. Third, after the dive, record your sightings on the easy-to-use scanning form and return it to REEF headquarters.
The surveys are scanned into a database designed for marine life management studies to be used for conservation projects around the world. Members of REEF are invited to conduct surveys on every dive and submit their findings. REEF also invites you to participate in specialized surveys such as the week long Great American Fish Count or maybe join the REEF Team for a one week field survey at a favorite dive destination. This is a great way to enjoy the sport you have come to love and give something back so that future generations may enjoy as well.
This course is brand new for the New England area! One of our Instructors co-authored the training guidelines of this course while the program was being created. Take this course from the people who put it together.

Search & Recovery PADI Certification
Finding lost or buried items underwater can be a frustrating if you don't know how.
I mean it seems so easy. Just dive down where you lost the item and it should be there, right? Wrong. The ocean is a complicated thing and learning to recover items is a serious activity that can be very rewarding.
Our Instructors have taught many fire department dive teams to perform and Search & Recovery operations. Our instructors bring that same level of knowledge and experience to the P.A.D.I. recreational diver course. You'll get your hands on experience with search lines, search patterns, lift bags, air lift devices, and more.

Underwater Digital Photography
Want to improve the quality of your digital underwater photographs? Interested in purchasing an underwater camera, but don't know much about it? Here is the course for you.
The digital underwater photographer specialty course has two levels of certification. Level one provides the diver with the basic understanding, preparation, care and maintenance of the camera and housing and the basic techniques for taking underwater photographs while diving in an environmentally friendly manner. This class leads to the Digital Underwater Photographer Level One certification. The class starts with a lecture and review of basic underwater photography. The next step is to make a local dive where students use their cameras to take underwater photos. After the dive we will review the photos taken to quickly evaluate the results of your training and clean the photographic gear.
Level two is the full certification of the Digital Underwater Photographer and it expands the knowledge of underwater photography beyond level one. It starts with a lecture about underwater photography techniques and image formats. A dive is then made at another local site. After the dive students participate in a workshop where they download their photos using software that can manipulate the pictures to change aspects of the images and save it in different formats. A debriefing is held after that to discuss the results of their work where suggestions are made to help improve techniques and they rinse and clean the photographic gear.
No refunds on tuition payments.
Underwater Navigation PADI Certification
Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you're going. The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. If you like challenges with big rewards, take this course and have fun finding your way.
If you're a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 10 years old, you can enroll in the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course.
Must do PADI elearning first, then sign up for course at Divers Market. Will need a compass.
So very fortunate to have traveled the world on so many Diving Adventures that have defined me today as the person and scuba diver that I could only hope to be.

On a side note the one thing that always comes to mind when I think about you and all the dives we have done together over the years is that no matter what happens the first thing you say after is THAT WAS A GREAT DIVE. I can't thank you enough for friendship over the years you are a very special guy and I look forward to the next GREAT DIVE!

The reason generations have been faithful to Divers Market is simple Customer Service ( you won't get that on the internet). Wayne and his staff provide the very best in service, sales, training and dive trip planning. Wayne truly loves what he's doing and it shows.

I have been going to Divers Market for the past 10 years since I received my first certification from them. Everyone there is an expert at diving with significant experience and a great passion for diving. And, they are all so friendly, they make you feel part of their "dive family"!

In all of our dealings over the years I have always felt that Wayne was always putting our interests first. He wasn’t just recommending what would be best for his bottom line.

If you are wondering where to dive next, Wayne at Divers Market is a great resource. He has first hand knowledge of dozens of great dive locations the world over, and there’s a good chance he will be able to match you with just the right place. It’s always a joy to drop in the store and chat about diving with someone who is such a real expert.

As a non-diving spouse, I always feel as welcome in the shop and on the trips as though I were an experienced diver. Diver’s Market always makes me feel as though I’m part of the family. My needs as a snorkeler are treated with the same attention and care as if I were a trained diver.
